Florence Smith

Florence Smith, age 85 of Higginsport, Ohio, died Thursday, May 22, 2014 at the Hospice of Hope inpatient unit at the Adams County Regional Medical Center in Seaman, Ohio. She was a homemaker and a nurse aide at Mercy Hospital for many years. Mrs. Smith was born October 7, 1928 in Jackson, Kentucky the daughter of the late John and Matilda (Stamper) Turner. She was also preceded in death by two children - Regina Smith and Archie Smith; one brother - Francis Turner and two sisters - Mae and Charlene.
Mrs. Smith is survived by six children - Fern Moore of West Union, Ohio, John Smith and wife Darlene of Higginsport, Ohio, Ann Lincks of New Orleans, Louisiana, Christopher Shane Smith of Seattle, Washington, Johnnie Lynn Frater of California and Ralph Edward Smith of Hamilton, Ohio; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister - Jaylee Muscari of Hamilton, Ohio; two brothers - Vernon Turner and wife Theresa and Felix Turner, all of Hamilton, Ohio.
Following cremation, there will be no services. Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio is serving the family. If desired, memorial donations may be made to: Hospice of Hope 215 Hughes Blvd. Mt. Orab, Ohio 45154.
