Forrest W. Wahl, age 87 of Georgetown, Ohio, died Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. He developed the Lakewood Golf Course in Georgetown, Ohio in 1962, which was the first one in Brown County. He owned and operated the golf course for thirty one years. He was also a farmer and insurance agent for Brown County Insurance Agency. Mr. Wahl was a United States Navy World War II Veteran, a member of the Carey Bavis American Legion Post #180 in Georgetown, an Elder at the Georgetown Presbyterian Church, a fifty year member of the Georgetown F&AM Lodge #72, a member of the Hillsboro chapter of the Royal Arch Masons, a member of the Scottish Rite, a member of the Syrian Shrine and a charter member of the Georgetown Lions Club. He was born July 7, 1923 in Georgetown, Ohio the son of the late Wilford A. and Lorena B. (Berry) Wahl.
