Harley Franklin “Frank” Cahall, age 92 of Felicity, Ohio went home to be with the Lord peacefully Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at the Hospice of Hope Inpatient Care Center at the Adams County Regional Medical Center in Seaman, Ohio. He was born May 26, 1933 in Brown County, Ohio the son of the late Harley Gilbert and Gladys Lenora (Lindsley) Cahall. Frank was a devoted minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, whose life was characterized by his unwavering faith and commitment to sharing the love of God. Throughout his younger years, Frank traveled extensively, evangelizing in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee. His passion for the Gospel also led him to pastor briefly and to share his message through radio broadcasts on WFTM Radio in Maysville, Kentucky, and later, on WOBO Radio in Georgetown, Ohio, where he enjoyed playing bluegrass gospel music with his beloved bluegrass group, The Ohio Valley Boys. In addition to his spiritual pursuits, Frank taught music at the Franks Bethel Music store in Bethel, Ohio, forming many cherished friendships along the way. He began his career in Norwood, Ohio, working in an office job shortly after marrying his wife, Shirley. Eventually, Frank decided to take up farming, where he dedicated countless hours from sunrise to sunset, often assisted by Shirley, who worked tirelessly by his side. An accomplished marksman, Frank displayed remarkable skill, effortlessly hitting aspirin tablets thrown in the air with a pistol. His heartfelt connection to nature was evident in his hunting practices; he hunted not for sport, but to provide for his family, holding a deep respect for all living creatures. Frank's love for his wife, family and friends were profound. He was widely recognized as one of the best banjo players, with many comparing his talent to that of the legendary Earl Scruggs. For years, Frank and Shirley shared their musical gifts, performing together in church, where Shirley’s exceptional singing and guitar playing complemented Frank’s talents. They found joy in worship, attending Bethel Pentecostal Church of God, where they were both blessed and a blessing to others. His warm humor, gentle heart and kind smile will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was a man who loved Jesus and made it a priority to witness to everyone he encountered. He frequently reminded others of the promise found in scripture: "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." As we remember Frank, we do so with love and gratitude for the impact he made in our lives and look forward to reuniting with him in Heaven one day. Besides his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years - Shirley Ann Julia (Durham) Cahall in 2018, whom he married June 7, 1958.

Mr. Cahall is survived by two children - Kimberly Dawn Boggs and Thomas Franklin Cahall; four grandchildren - Paul S. Rothenberg and wife Melanie, Richard P. Rothenberg, Kasey C.
