Fred Groh , age 79 of Ripley, Ohio died Thursday, April 21, 2011 at the Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown, Ohio. He was a construction worker, a farmer and a United States Army Korean War Veteran. Mr. Groh was a member of the Courts Fussnecker American Legion Post #367 of Ripley and the St. Michael Church. He was born on October 27, 1931 in Brown County, Ohio the son of the late Frederick and Delia (Meadows) Groh.

Mr. Groh is survived by his wife of 54 years - Lillie (Kinder) Groh of Ripley, Ohio; one daughter - Debbie Polley of Georgetown, Ohio; one son - Jeffery L. Groh and wife Harriett of Ripley; three grandchildren - Joshua Allen Polley, Jared Polley and wife Dee Dee and Andrew S. Groh, all of Ripley; one great granddaughter - Harlie Polley; three brothers - Bill Groh and wife Betty, Bobby Groh and wife Carol, both of Ripley and Larry Dorsey of Colorado.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. James Settles will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M. on Monday, April 25, 2011 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio with military honors being provided by the Courts Fussnecker American Legion Post #367 of Ripley.
