Frieda Gladys Kirker

Frieda Gladys Kirker, age 95 of Georgetown, Ohio died Monday, June 8, 2010 at the Meadowwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Georgetown, Ohio. She was a cook for the Ripley Union Lewis Huntington School District and a member of the Georgetown Church of Christ. Frieda was born March 26, 1915 in Ripley, Ohio the daughter of the late Elmer and Bertha (Shelton) Edmisten. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edwin Burgess Kirker in 1978, one son - Randy Kirker in 2007, four brothers and five sisters.

Mrs. Kirker is survived by one son - Gary Kirker of Owensville, Ohio; two daughters - Janice Meyer of Cincinnati, Ohio and Janet Harp of Georgetown, Ohio; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one sister - Millie Hampton of Georgetown, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, June 12, 2010 at the Georgetown Church of Christ. Kevin Whitsett will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. on Saturday at the church. Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Georgetown Church of Christ, 149 Hamer Road, Georgetown, Ohio 45121. The Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family.
