Gary Waits
April 22, 1953 — July 1, 2025
Garold “Gary” Gene Waits, age 72 of Georgetown, Ohio died Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at the Villa Georgetown Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Georgetown, Ohio. He was born April 22, 1953 in Mt. Orab, Ohio the son of Joan A. (Comberger) Waits of Mt. Orab, Ohio and the late Ralph Waits. Gary dedicated many years of his life to his work at Cab Fast Foundry before entering retirement. He also served as the caretaker of Mt. Orab and Green Township Cemeteries, where his commitment and care for the resting places of others reflected his compassionate spirit and dedication to his community. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by two sisters – Bonnie L. Waits and Tammy L. Taylor, one brother – Johnny Waits and one step-daughter – Kristina Stowell.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Waits is survived by his wife of nearly 17 years – Vicki (Lucas) Waits whom he married July 4, 2008; three children – Tracy Lynn Glover (Dale “Gene” Fletcher, Jr.) of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, Garold “Bo” Waits, Jr. (Shari) of Bethel, Ohio and Anthony Michael Waits of Williamsburg, Ohio; six grandchildren – Rolena and Seth Stowell, Daisee Waits, Christopher Jacob and Charles Leslie Hance and Brittany Nicole Mason; many step-grandchildren; six brothers – Rickey S. Waits (Joyce) and Michael Waits (Becky) both of Blanchester, Ohio and Ralph S. Waits, Robert Waits, Terry Jo Waits (Nancy Crawford) and Douglas W. Waits all of Mt. Orab, Ohio; four sisters – Teresa Daugherty (James) and Jacqueline Campbell (Rick) both of Mt. Orab, Ohio and Patricia Schoenbaechler (Anton) and Connie McQuitty (Lucas Lindsey) both of Hamersville, Ohio and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 10, 2025 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Mt. Orab, Ohio. Ken Wells will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Mt. Orab Cemetery in Mt. Orab, Ohio.
