Gayle Milton Lindsey, age 77 of Georgetown, Ohio died Friday, July 18, 2014 at his residence. He was a retired truck driver, a Vietnam War Army veteran and a member of the Carey Bavis American Legion Post #180 in Georgetown, Ohio. Mr. Lindsey was born June 26, 1937 in Hamersville, Ohio the son of the late Lucian and Lena (Horn) Lindsey. He was also preceded in death by his first wife - Gladys Margaret (Peavler) Lindsey in 2001 and one step-daughter - Arlene Liming.
Mr. Lindsey is survived by his wife - Eleanor (Johnson) Lindsey; three daughters - Wanda Harris of Midland, Ohio and Renia and Gail Lindsey both of Amelia, Ohio; one son - Mark Sparks of Midland, Ohio; one step-son - Roy Shadoan of Lucasville, Ohio; one step-daughter - Delia Boyer of Cincinnati, Ohio; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; eight step-great grandchildren; two sisters - Marie Holt of Wadesboro, North Carolina and Inez Kinnett of Sardinia, Ohio; one brother - Ray Lindsey of Mobile, Alabama and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Thursday, July 24, 2014 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Chaplain Bill Graybill will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Graceland Memorial Gardens in Milford, Ohio with veterans services by the Carey Bavis American Legion Post #180 of Georgetown, Ohio.
