Gerald Austin “Jerry” Fultz, age 69 of Ripley, Ohio, died Monday, April 27, 2015 at Clermont Mercy Hospital in Batavia, Ohio. He was retired from the Village of Ripley, where he worked on the garbage truck for twenty two years. Mr. Fultz was born April 19, 1946 in Brown County, Ohio the son of the late Harold and Margaret (Miley) Fultz, Sr.. He was also preceded in death by his wife of forty seven years – Emma Jean “Chick” Fultz; two sisters – Donna Routt and Linda Kennard; three brothers – Richard, Leroy and Robert Fultz.
Mr. Fultz is survived by one daughter – Linda “Darlene” Herrmann of Ripley, Ohio; one son – Mike Fultz of Manchester, Ohio; five stepchildren – Billy “Rick” Kilgore of Maysville, Kentucky, Martha Vaughn of Ripley, Ohio, George Kilgore of Hamersville, Ohio, Gary Kilgore of Macon, Ohio and David Kilgore of Ripley, Ohio; twenty grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; one brother – Harold Fultz, Jr. of Ripley, Ohio; one sister – Patricia Schuler of Dayton, Ohio; his beloved dog Rusty.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Friday, May 1, 2015 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. Clark Castle will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the funeral service in Red Oak Cemetery near Ripley, Ohio.
