Gina (Schumacher) Stopa
October 8, 1951 — August 16, 2015
Gina Stopa, age 63 years, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at her home in New Orleans, LA. Beloved wife of Dr. Aluizio R. Stopa for 39 years. Loving mother of Erik R. Stopa (Corlee), Jason A. Stopa (Laura), and Craig J. Stopa (Nicolle). Grandmother of Jackson “Jack” Stopa, Dominick Stopa, and Dillon Stopa. Daughter of Harold B. Schumacher and the late J. Theresa Cropper Schumacher. Sister of Terri Schumacher, Gerry Schumacher (Yvonne), Greg Schumacher (Trish), and Kristi Parish (Todd).
Gina was an active tennis player and member of the New Orleans Lawn Tennis Club.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. Dohrman Byers will be the Celebrant. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11:30 A.M. Tuesday at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley.
