Gladys Riley

Gladys Esther Riley, age 93, of Hamersville, Ohio, peacefully passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Anderson Mercy Hospital in Anderson Township, Ohio. Born on January 13, 1932, in New Vienna, Ohio, she was the beloved daughter of the late George and Cora (Potts) Hazelbaker, Sr. Gladys dedicated many years to her career as the owner and operator of G & G Door Company. She was a member of the Mt. Orab Wesleyan Church, where her faith played a central role in her life and brought her joy and fulfillment. Throughout her life, Gladys remained deeply devoted to her family and was cherished by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years - Eugene Riley, who passed away in 2020 and her three brothers - Harold, Lloyd, and Frank Hazelbaker. 

Mrs. Riley is survived by one brother – George Hazelbaker, Jr. of Milford, Ohio; two nieces – Tammy Collins of Winchester, Ohio and Tina Ewing and husband Rob of Williamsburg, Ohio; one great nephew – Jake Ewing of Milford, Ohio; one great niece – Jessica Ewing of Williamsburg, Ohio; and two great-great nephews – Bodhi Ewing of Williamsburg, Ohio and Jett Ewing of Milford, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Thursday, August 7, 2025 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Mt.Orab, Ohio. Tom Bolinger will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Plainview Cemetery in Newtonsville, Ohio.
