Glenn Leasoure

Glenn Leasoure, age 87 of Ripley, Ohio, died Saturday, March 28, 2009 at his home. He was a United States Army WW II Veteran and retired from Federated Department Store, in 1986, where he was a maintenance man. He was also a member of The Ripley Church of the Nazarene and a lifetime member of the Ripley DAV. Mr. Leasoure was born October 4, 1921 in Morrow, Ohio, the son of the late Ronald Leasoure and Alice Kate Cook. He was raised by his loving mother and stepfather, Dave Flaugher, who also preceded him in death. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his loving son-in-law, Mike Cox.

Mr. Leasoure is survived by his loving wife of sixty-two years, Mary Ruth (Applegate) Leasoure; three daughters - Twilla Hauke and husband Floyd and Denise Sweet and husband Billy, both of Ripley, Ohio and Tara McFarland and husband John of Louisville, Kentucky; nine grandchildren - Thela McCormick and husband Kelly of California, Kentucky; Toni England and husband Joey of Ripley,Ohio; Tammy Hauke of Ripley, Ohio; Dawn Grigson, her husband Dean and their children Michael and Mason, of Ripley, Ohio, with whom Glenn resided until his death; Shelby Cox and friend Tonya Morgan of Ripley, Ohio; Willie Cox of Ripley,Ohio; Kelly Jo Stoops of Cincinnati, Ohio; Ashley Scaggs and friend Scott Crank and Jamie Ruth Scaggs of Louisville, Kentucky; thirteen great-grandchildren and one future great-great-grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, March 31 at The Ripley Church of the Nazarene. Rev. Clark Castle will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to The Ripley Church of the Nazarene or to Hospice of Hope.
