Goldine A. Thomas age 77 of Georgetown, Ohio passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at the Villa Georgetown Nursing and Rehabilation Center in Georgetown, Ohio. She was a Georgetown High School Class of 1953 graduate and worked for twenty-one years for the school district as a cook at the high school and also helped Edna Bradshaw with the To Be Healthy classes. Goldine was a member of the Georgetown Church of Christ in Georgetown, Ohio, a charter member of the YMCA in Batavia, Ohio, a member of the Brown County General Hospital Auxiliary where she served as Treasure for two years and President of the Brown County Senior Citizens for six years, a member of the Red Hat Society and the Helen Ladd's Golden Oldies Line Dancers appearing at many centers and functions. She loved to entertain the residents at the nursing homes with the Sunshine Club from the Brown County General Hospital with song and music. Goldine was very active with her church and enjoyed volunteering at the hospital.
Goldine was born February 23, 1935 the oldest daughter of the late Carl and Virginia (Stewart) Kattine. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-four years, John B. Thomas in 1988 whom she married May 23, 1954.
