Harmon Neal, of Hamersville, Ohio quietly passed away at his farm on November 3, 2014. Harmon was born November 18, 1928 to William L. and Anna Reeves Neal. Harmon married Velva Jean Latham on November 16, 1947. Harmon and Velva had three sons; Bill (Chris) Neal, Bob (Julie) Neal and Barney (Lisa) Neal.

Harmon served 8 years as Brown County Commissioner. He was also a Clark Township Trustee, a member of the Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church, a 4-H advisor, a member of the Hamersville Fire Department and a founding member of the Hamersville Life Squad. Harmon spent his life farming and enjoying outdoor activities. Harmon loved his garden and sharing the bounty with his family and friends. Harmon was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Ruth Neal Liming and a great granddaughter, Taylor Rae Neal. Harmon is survived by Velva, his wife of 67 years and his three sons and their wives. Harmon was also "Pappy" to 7 grandkids; Brian Neal, Katy Neal Wilfert, Brent Neal, Amber Neal Wallace, Robby Neal, Greg Neal, and Steven Neal and their families and 10 great grandkids.

There will be no services. The Cahall Funeral Home in Mt.Orab is serving the family. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Hamersville Life Squad, P.O. Box 216, Hamersville, Ohio 45130 or to the Mt.Nebo United Methodist Church, 11693 State Route 774, Bethel, Ohio 45106.
