Harold Lloyd Cook, Sr., age 80 of Georgetown, Ohio died Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at his residence. He was retired from the United States Navy and was a United States Korean War and Vietnam War Veteran. Harold was born February 26, 1935 in Fanrock, West Virginia the son of the late Howard and Pearlie (Helmandollar) Cook. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons – Billy Gene Cook and Rodney Alan Cook and two brothers – Estel Cook and Garland Cook.
Mr. Cook is survived by his wife – Donita (VanWinkle) Cook; two sons – Harold L. Cook, Jr. of North Carolina and Howard Cook of Georgetown, Ohio; two daughters – Shelia Durham of North Carolina and Jessica Farris of New Richmond, Ohio; twelve grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; three brothers – Glen Cook of Chicago, Illinois and Clyde and Gene Cook of Florida; one sister – Mary Reid of Chicago, Illinois and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, June 14, 2015 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Apostles Doctrine, North Main Street, Georgetown, Ohio 45121 with military services by the Carey Bavis American Legion Post #180 of Georgetown, Ohio at 1:30 P.M.. Vincent Wright will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. on Sunday at the church. Cremation will follow the funeral services. The Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family.
