Harold Edward Manning, age 82 of Georgetown, Ohio died Thursday, May 30, 2019 at the Villa Georgetown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Georgetown, Ohio. Mr. Manning was a milk truck driver and owner and operator along with his wife, Betty of Old Tyme Ice Cream. He was a member of the Georgetown Church of Christ, the Ohio Valley Antique Machinery Association and a former Brown County Fair Board member. Harold was born November 12, 1936 in Felicity, Ohio the son of the late Guy and Jewell (Mullen) Manning. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and five sisters – Carol Teegarden and husband Maurice, Ruth Riddlebarger, Betty Jacobs and husband Richard, Barbara Snider and husband Robert and twins Ronnie and Connie Manning.
Harold is survived by his wife of nearly sixty-one years – Betty Jean (Sponcil) Manning whom he married July 5, 1958; one daughter – Vikki Barnes and husband Earl of Georgetown, Ohio; one son – Todd Manning of Georgetown, Ohio; one sister – Paula Manning of Felicity, Ohio; one brother-in-law – Melvin Riddlebarger of Phoenix, Arizona and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, June 2, 2019 at the Georgetown Church of Christ, 149 Hamer Road, Georgetown, Ohio. Patrick Klump will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the church. Interment will be in the Sanders Cemetery near Georgetown, Ohio. The Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family.
