Helen E. Brown

Helen E. Brown, age 92, of Georgetown, Ohio, formerly of Ripley, Ohio died Thursday, April 24, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Brown was a former member of the board of directors and office manager for the Ripley Federal Savings and Loan Bank, a member of the St. George Catholic Church in Georgetown, Ohio and was a volunteer in the gift shop at the Brown County General Hospital. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 13, 1915 the daughter of the late August Joseph and Cecelia Anna (Schott) Ernstes. Besides her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband William A. Brown; two brothers- Tony and Austin Ernstes and two sisters - Marge Meyers and Rosemary Rethlake.

Mrs. Brown is survived by two daughters - Barbara Williams and husband Oliver of Ripley, Ohio and Susan Stockmeier and husband Terry of Batavia, Ohio; four grandchildren - David Williams and wife Meghan and Deron Williams and Stephany all of Amelia, Ohio and Kim Royer and husband Doug and Pam Fischer and husband Dan all of Bethel, Ohio; twelve great-grandchildren and one brother - Tom Ernstes of Xenia, Ohio

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 26, 2008 at the St. George Catholic Church in Georgetown, Ohio. Rev. James Schmitmeyer will be the Celebrant. Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M. - 10:45 A.M. Saturday at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the St. George Catholic Church, 501 East State Street, Georgetown, Ohio 45121.
