Helen G. (Graybill) Neu

Helen Gould Neu, age 101 of Higginsport, Ohio died Sunday, February 21, 2016 at the Clermont Nursing and Rehabilation Center in Milford, Ohio. She worked at US Shoe and Shozees, was a member of the Higginsport Christian Church in Higginsport, Ohio, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 461 in Russellville, Ohio for 68 years and was known in the community as a baker of delicious pastry. Helen was born May 11, 1914 in Amelia, Ohio the daughter of the late David and Louise (Jenner) Graybill. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband - John Henry Neu in 1988, whom she married May 2, 1932, three brothers – Albert, John and George Graybill, one sister – Lyda Heath, daughter-in-law – Marlene (Malone) Neu and one granddaughter – Katharine Marie Runkle.

Mrs. Neu is survived by one son – John Lewis Neu and wife Sarah of Milford, Ohio; one daughter – Eleanor K. Lemon of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.

Order of Eastern Star and Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 26, 2016 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Bill Arnold will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio.
