Helen L. (Bloom) Walker

Helen L. Walker, age 95 of Hamersville, Ohio died Friday, July 26, 2019 at Close to Home IV in Sardinia, Ohio. Mrs. Walker was a homemaker, a member of the Bible Chapel United Church of Christ in Hamersville, Ohio and the last living graduate of the former Decatur High School, class of 1942. She was born March 11, 1924 in Decatur, Ohio the daughter of the late Lee (1973) and Blanche (Berry) Bloom (1995). She was also preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years – George E. Walker in 2000; one son – James A. Walker in 2013 and one son-in-law – Ronald Latham in 2017.

Mrs. Walker is survived by one daughter – Judy Latham of Georgetown, Ohio; one daughter-in-law – Willa Walker (Lonnie Lewis) of Hamersville, Ohio; two grandchildren - Joni Applegate and husband Tony of Georgetown, Ohio and Jerry Latham and wife Missy of Georgetown, Ohio; eight great grandchildren – Sarah Eagan and husband Doug, Emily Applegate and Devin, Jake, Chase, Ruben, Gatelin and Italia Latham and two great great grandchildren – Hayden and Hailey Eagan.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Pastor Bill Godby will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Linwood Cemetery in Russellville, Ohio.
