Howard "Gene" Collett

Howard E. "Gene" Collett, age 83 of Winchester, Ohio died Monday, November 21, 2011 at the Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center in Seaman, Ohio. He was a retired coal miner for the Everett Coal Company in Blackstar, Kentucky. Gene was born April 16, 1928 in Blackstar, Kentucky the son of the late Lawrence and Lillian (Howard) Collett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Iva (Cox) Collett in 2005, three brothers and one sister.

Mr. Collett is survived by five sons - Howard L. Collett of Felicity, Ohio, William Collett and wife Carol of Russellville, Ohio, Wendell Collett of Chillicothe, Ohio, Michael Collett and wife Barbara of Winchester, Ohio and John Collett and wife Arnita of Winchester, Ohio; two daughters - Jacqueline Collett of Felicity, Ohio and Danyelle Swartz and husband John of Winchester, Ohio; twelve grandchildren - Nicki Collett, Adam Collett, Emily Collett, Katie Collett, Jeremy Collett, Michael Collett, Jr., Justin Collett, Brandon Bush, Samantha Collett, Erin Collett, Ashley Collett, and Austin Collett; eleven great grandchildren; one brother a
