Imogene B. Ring, age 97 of Georgetown, Ohio died Sunday, July 5, 2026 at her residence. She was born August 22, 1928 in Lewisburg, Kentucky the daughter of the late Louis August and Allie (McDaniel) Kubel. A native of Kentucky, Imogene graduated from Mayslick High School and went on to attend the University of Kentucky, where she quickly became a UK Wildcat fan. Imogene devoted herself to her family as a homemaker, creating a nurturing and loving environment for those she held dear. Her home was a place of welcome, comfort and warmth.
Music formed the heart of Imogene’s world. She not only cherished it, but also shared her gifts with others. She was a proud member of the gospel musical group, the Victory Messengers, embracing the power of song to uplift and inspire. Most notably, Imogene was a devoted member of Georgetown Baptist Church, where she graciously served as pianist for 60 years. Her music became an enduring part of worship in the church, touching the hearts of all who heard her play. Active within her community, Imogene was a member of the Odd Couples Farm Bureau for many years, fostering friendships and supporting local causes through her involvement. Her legacy is one of faith and service. She will be remembered for the generosity of her time, the beauty of her music and the joy she brought into every room she entered. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her and experienced the kindness and grace that defined her remarkable life. Besides her parents, Imogene was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years – Eugene D. “Bus” Ring in 2017 whom she married October 18, 1952; one daughter – Diane Ring Reeder and three siblings - Theresa Mathis, Allen Kubel and Maxine Kubel.
Mrs. Ring is survived by one son – Chris Ring and wife Bunnie of Georgetown, Ohio; one son-in-law – JD Reeder of Morehead, Kentucky; five grandchildren – Miranda Lindsey Mays and husband TJ, Megan Lindsey, Joel Ring and wife Meghan, Jeremy Ring and Lauren Ring Carderelli and husband Nick; five great grandchildren – Elsie, Jackson, Elijah and Noah Ring and Johnny Carderelli.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Monday, July 13, 2026 at the Georgetown Baptist Church, 794 S. Main Street, Georgetown, Ohio. Revs. Ron Garbutt and Cliff Myers will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Monday at the church. Interment will be in the Maysville – Mason County Cemetery in Maysville, Kentucky. The Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family.
