Irene Janet (Burson) Shinkle

Irene Janet Shinkle, age 79 of Higginsport, Ohio died Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at the Locust Ridge Nursing Home in Williamsburg, Ohio. She was a homemaker, waitress and a former Kroger cashier. She was born September 4, 1940 the daughter of the late William and Katherine (Gerlach) Burson. She was also preceded in death by her husband Joseph Shinkle.
Mrs. Shinkle is survived by one daughter – Della Cox of Felicity, Ohio; one son – Jerry Cox of Fulton, Mississippi; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one sister – Alice King of Hamersville, Ohio and two brothers – Leslie Burson of Felicity, Ohio and James Burson of Georgetown, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. Tuesday. Interment will be in the Rosehill Cemetery in Hamilton, Ohio.
