Jack S. McLain, age 48 of Ripley, Ohio, died Friday, March 18, 2016 in Clermont County, Ohio. He previously worked as a union carpenter and most recently was an iron worker and was a member of the Iron Workers Local Union #172. Jack was born August 25 1967 in Covington, Kentucky the son of the late Robert A. and Lillie B. (Dykes) McLain. He was also preceded in death by one sister – Brenda Chaney and two brothers – Allen and Bobby McLain.
Jack is survived by two sons – Alik of Monroe, Ohio and Kassius of Ripley, Ohio; seven siblings – James T. Chaney of Ripley, Ohio, Karen Cook (Donnie) of Roundlake, Illinois, Bert McLain of Lynxville, Wisconsin, Gary McLain (Vicki) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Kim Petri (Tony) of Pt. Pleasant, Ohio and Jewell McLain (John Cord) of Aberdeen, Ohio; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, March 25, 2016 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. Clark Castle will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday, also at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the services and interment of the cremains will take place in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio, at the convenience of the family.
Serving as honorary pall bearers will be: Richard Phillips, Rick Carl, Gary Perez, John McIntosh, Paul Clevenger and Mike Manley.
