Jackie (Updike) Gabb

Jackie (Updike) Gabb, age 36 of Ripley, Ohio died Saturday, September 4, 2004 in a motorcycle accident on US 68 near Ripley, Ohio. Mrs. Gabb was a payroll clerk for API Construction Company, a member of the Ripley Church of Christ and a volunteer for the Hospice of Hope. She was born on October 8, 1967 in Brown County, Ohio the daughter of the late James E. and Anna (Jones) Updike,Jr. Mrs. Gabb is survived by her husband - Steven Gabb; one daughter - Heather Lewis of Aberdeen, Ohio; two grandchildren - Jaden and Carsen Boone; three step children - Steven Gabb,Jr., Angie Nichols and Jamie Wilkins all of Kansas City, Missouri; four step grandchildren - Isaih Wilkins, Gabriel Nichols, Michaeli Rahn and Steven Gabb III; one sister - Carol Carrington of Higginsport, Ohio; two brothers - David Updike of Higginsport, Ohio and Jimmy Updike of Aberdeen, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. John Neu will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6 - 9 P.M. Tuesday. Interment will be in the Shinkles Ridge Cemetery. If desired, memorials may be made to the Hospice of Hope, 415 A½ Home Street, Georgetown, Ohio 45121. Condolences may be sent to the family at:
