Jackie Ray Stamper

Jackie Ray Stamper, age 84 of Georgetown, Ohio died Monday, October 20, 2025 at the Ohio Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ripley, Ohio. He was born June 12, 1941 in Ripley, Ohio the son of the late Zephery Taylor and Dorothy Alma (Edmisten) Stamper. Jackie was a devoted professional whose career spanned various roles, notably as a truck driver for Kroger and Tractor Supply Company, as well as a bus driver for Croswell VIP Motorcoach Services. His commitment to his work was paralleled by his passion for machinery and craftsmanship. Throughout his life, Mr. Stamper had a profound appreciation for all things related to agriculture, particularly enjoying the intricate workings of Farmall tractors. His affinity for woodworking also illustrated his artistic abilities and attention to detail, reflecting a deep-seated love for hands-on projects that created beauty and function. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years – Pam (Glass) Stamper in 2022, whom he married on August 20, 1981; one grandson – Todd Bayne Cahall II and one great grandson – Kaden Elijah Cahall.

Mr. Stamper is survived by three daughters – Crystal Cahall and husband Todd of Ripley, Ohio, Sonja Vance and husband Chuck of Sardinia, Ohio and Melissa Naylor and husband Ronnie of Sardinia, Ohio; eight grandchildren – Ashley Clinton, Joshua Cahall and wife Stormi, Jared Cahall and wife Angel, Brandon Naylor and wife Brielle, Kendal Morris and husband Andy, Blake Naylor, Craig Naylor and wife Calee and Tristen Cahall and wife Hannah; eleven great grandchildren – Braylon, Carter, Liam, Mya, Kinlee, Cooper, Brexton, Leo, Gretta, Beckett and Lexie; one brother – Floyd Stamper and significant other Sharon Williams of Sardinia, Ohio; one niece – Tammi Stamper of Tollesboro, Kentucky and one nephew – Michael Stamper of Bedford, Indiana.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, October 24, 2025 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Friday. Interment will be in the Shinkles Ridge Cemetery near Georgetown, Ohio.
