James "Jim" Yazell

James Dale “Jim” Yazell, age 57 of Sardinia, Ohio passed away Monday, October 12, 2026 at his residence. He was born December 4, 1968 in Maysville, Kentucky the son of Audrey (Hunt) Yazell of Cherry Fork, Ohio and the late John F. Yazell, Sr. Jim was employed by Allegion Steelcraft Manufacturing Company in Blue Ash, Ohio, and was a proud member of Steel Workers Union Local #7697, where he served as Vice President. A 1987 graduate of North Adams High School, Jim was active in the Adams County 4-H program during his younger years. He had a lifelong love of racing, enjoying dirt track racing, go-kart racing and, in more recent years, RC dirt track racing. Jim was a true people person who was easy to talk to and made others feel comfortable in his presence. He was also an avid gardener who enjoyed spending time outdoors. Jim will be remembered for his friendly nature, his many interests, and the simple joys he found in doing what he loved. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 14 years – Charlotte (Green) Yazell in 2018 whom he married February 23, 2004 and one sister – Michelle Yazell Johnson.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Yazell is survived by one brother – John Yazell and wife Carol of Winchester, Ohio; one sister – Melissa Yazell Groves of Cherry Fork, Ohio; three nieces – Bridget Yazell and Bobby Miracle of Hamilton, Ohio, Sandra Yazell and fiancé Jon Espada of Amelia, Ohio and Desiree Boldman and husband Tyler of Cherry Fork, Ohio; two nephews – Dylan Groves and fiancé Emily Robinson of Lynchburg, Ohio and Dalton Groves of Cherry Fork, Ohio; two great-nieces – Emmalynn Boldman and Everlee Groves; two great-nephews – Nickali Jarvis and Daxson Groves and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 19, 2026 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Mt.Orab, Ohio. Tony Watson will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Sunday, October 18, 2026 at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Buford Cemetery in Buford, Ohio.
