Norma Jean Haitz, age 62 of Ripley, Ohio, died Thursday, September 24, 2009 at her residence. She was a Head Cook for Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington School District and a member of the Ripley Church of the Nazarene. She was born on December 12, 1946 in Georgetown, Ohio the daughter of the late Joe R. and Nettie Pearl (Vaughn) Quinlan. She was also preceded in death by her husband in 2005, Michael D. Haitz; one sister, Vickie Regenstein and one brother in law, Paul Bohl.

Jean is survived by one daughter, Jinger Barefoot and husband Tracy of Dunn, North Carolina; one granddaughter, Taylor Nicole Barefoot; two sisters - Peggy Ann Bohl of Georgetown, Ohio and Joan Boling and husband Donald of Hamilton, Ohio; three brothers - Ronald Gene Vaughn and wife Sharon of Georgetown, Ohio, Joe Robert Quinlan, Jr. and wife Barbara of Grand Blanc, Michigan and Kenneth Quinlan of Carlisle, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 27, 2009 at the Ripley Church of the Nazarene. Rev. Clark Castle will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Saturday evening, September 26 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Interment will follow the funeral services in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley.
