Jean Carol Pollitt

Jean Carol Pollitt, age 69 of Higginsport, Ohio died Monday, April 20, 2009 at the Anderson Mercy Hospital in Anderson Township. She was born on March 7, 1940 in Orangeburg, Kentucky the daughter of the late Otto B. and Alice (Little) Turner. Besides her parents, Jean was preceded in death by one sister - Wanda Goslin and two brothers - Franklin and Gary Turner.

Mrs. Pollitt is survived by her husband of nineteen years - Elwood Pollitt; two children - Rick Hughes and Brenda Chance both of Ripley, Ohio; five step-children - Jack Pollitt, Jimmy Pollitt and Bonnie Leonard all of Ripley, Ohio; Darlene Horn of Higginsport, Ohio and Sherri Mefford of Mason County, Kentucky; seven grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters - Ann Myers of Georgetown, Ohio and Nancy Cooper of Decatur, Ohio and one brother - Daniel Turner of Ripley, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, April 24, 2009 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. John Neu will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Red Oak Cemetery near Ripley, Ohio.
