Jeremiah Edward Dotson, age 49 of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away Sunday, August 16, 2026 at the Madeira Healthcare Center in Madeira, Ohio. He was born July 17, 1977 in Detroit, Michigan the son of the late Billy Ray and Ruth (Miller) Dotson. Throughout his life, Jeremiah was known for his many interests and the warmth he brought to those around him. He had a true passion for fishing, often finding peace and joy along the quiet banks where the water flowed. Jeremiah’s love for animals was evident in the care he put into raising chickens, tending to them with patience and dedication. A natural with his hands, he was a backyard mechanic who derived great satisfaction from tinkering with engines, especially when it came to his cherished Ford Mustang. This car was not only a point of pride for him but also served as a canvas for countless stories and memories with those he held dear. Art was another significant pursuit for Jeremiah. He expressed his creativity through painting, with a particular fondness for painting clowns. Whether working alone at an easel or sharing his finished pieces with others, art remained a meaningful part of his life. Among all of his interests and endeavors, nothing brought Jeremiah greater happiness than time spent with his cherished family and friends. He will be remembered for his kindness, his work ethic, and the artistry and enthusiasm he dedicated to every endeavor. Those who knew Jeremiah will continue to honor his memory in the stories they share, the laughter he inspired, and the love that surrounds his life’s legacy. Besides his parents, Jeremiah was preceded in death by two brothers – Billy Ray Dotson, Jr. and Marty Dotson and one sister – Kathryn Moore.
Mr. Dotson is survived by five children – Braxton Dotson of Mt. Orab, Ohio, Jarrett Dotson of Pennsylvania, Trenton Dotson of Georgetown, Ohio, Cody Dotson and Caleb Rose both of Forest Park, Ohio; six brothers and sisters – Randy Crosby of Sardinia, Ohio, Trisha Crosby of North Carolina, John Dotson of Hamersville, Ohio, Tony Dotson and Penny Boyd both of Mt. Orab, Ohio and Marsha Dotson of Mississippi and several nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Cahall Funeral Home in Mt. Orab, Ohio is serving the family.
