Jessie May Sanders

Jessie May Sanders, age 104 of Georgetown, Ohio died Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the Ohio Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ripley, Ohio. Mrs. Sanders was a homemaker and a member of the Georgetown United Methodist Church. She was born January 31, 1913 in Adams County, Ohio the daughter of the late Leroy and Alaska Belle (Yates) Carter. She was also preceded in death by her husband - Roscoe L. Sanders in 2002, whom she married June 4, 1935, one son- Paul Sanders in 2009, one brother - Roy Carter and two sisters - Helen Dryden and Wilma Ginn.

Mrs. Sanders is survived by one daughter - Jane Stansberry and husband Daryl of Georgetown, Ohio; one daughter-in-law - Lois Sanders of Cincinnati, Ohio; six grandchildren - Sue Cochran (Dick) of Georgetown, Ohio, Jolinne Kerl (Jim) of Fairfield, Ohio, Mark Stansberry of Cincinnati, Ohio, Scott Stansberry (Patty) of Georgetown, Ohio, Eric Sanders (Carla) of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Cary Sanders (Ashley) of Murphysburg, Tennessee; nine great grandchildren - Craig Drake (Christy), Nikki, Eric, Sarah, Laura, and Erin Stansberry and Noah, Ethan and Micah Sanders; four great great grandchildren - Taylor and Austin Grippa and Jalyn and Ayden McCann; one great great great grandchild - Waverly Bennett and one sister – Nellie “Boby” Gray of Ripley, Ohio.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. Wednesday. Interment will be in the Mt. Orab Cemetery in Mt. Orab, Ohio.
