James L. “Jim” Cooper, Sr. , age 73 of Williamsburg, Ohio died Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at his residence. He was a former agent for Cooper Tarvin Insurance Agency, Inc. and a United States Vietnam War Army veteran. Jim was born April 17, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio the son of the late James C. and Rachel (Maxwell) Cooper.
Mr. Cooper is survived by his wife of 55 years, Loretta K. (Osborne) Cooper whom he married on March 6, 1965; one son – James Cooper, Jr. and wife Tina of Williamsburg, Ohio; three sisters Jeanie Kellerman and husband Steve of Inverness, Florida, Linda Lacey of Goshen, Ohio and Patricia York of Batavia, Ohio; one brother, Henry Paul Cooper of Auburn, New York; two grandchildren, Megan Kenney and husband William and Logan Sutherland and wife Alaina all of Columbus, Ohio and one great grandson, Tappan Logan Kenney of Columbus, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 P.M. Monday, September 21, 2020 at the Clear Mountain Community Church, 4050 Tollgate Road, Batavia, Ohio 45103. Mark Otten and Chris Rolph will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:30 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. Monday at the church. The Cahall Funeral Home in Mt. Orab, Ohio is serving the family.
During the visitation and funeral service, social distancing will be observed and the family requests facial coverings to be worn. If you are unable to attend, the family encourages you to leave a message or condolence.
