John L. Brooks, Jr., age 55 of Ripley, Ohio, died Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the Southwest Regional Medical Center in Georgetown, Ohio. He was a custodian for the Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington School District for fifteen years and for the Ohio Valley Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for one year. He was also a member of the Beebe Chapel in Ripley. Mr. Brooks was born July 7, 1958 in Maysville, Kentucky the son of John L. and Emma Jean (Settles) Brooks, Sr..
