John E. Guthrie

John Edward Guthrie, age 72 of Fayetteville, Ohio and formerly of Lebanon, Ohio died Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a truck driver for Mason Dixon Trucking Company, member of Teamsters, farmer, horse trainer, lover of food and a United States Army Vietnam War veteran. John was born October 19, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio the son of the late Robert Eugene and Betty Lou (Frizzell) Guthrie.

Mr. Guthrie is survived by his life companion – Carol Parker; one daughter – Kristine Kuss and husband John of Monroe, Ohio; two grandchildren – Alyssa and Ashton Kuss; two sisters – Linda Moorhead and Shelia Russell; special cousin – Steve Guthrie and wife Debbie of Xenia, Ohio and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Mt. Orab, Ohio with Military services by the Carey Bavis American Legion Post #180 of Georgetown, Ohio. Bill Graybill will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home.
