John William Myers

John W. Myers, age 78 of Georgetown, Ohio, died Monday, November 19, 2007 at the Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown, Ohio. He was retired from the National Bank and Trust as a collection manager, an Army Korean War Veteran and a member of the Carey Bavis Post #180 in Georgetown, Ohio for 53 years. John was born on November 8, 1929 in Russellville, Ohio the son of the late James William and Bessie Elizabeth (Liming) Myers. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Charles Franklin Myers.

Mr. Myers is survived by his wife Jeanette M. (Eyestone) Myers; three step-children - Don Newman of Aberdeen, Ohio, Cheryl Reid and husband Lowell of Lake Waynoka, Ohio and Tammie Mers and husband Richard of Arnheim, Ohio; five grandchildren - Chad Reid, Brandon Reid and wife Melana, Dan and Barbie Newman and Amanda and David Mers; three great grandchildren - Cody, Andrew and Megan Reid; one sister - Jane Womacks and husband Wayne of Georgetown, Ohio; one sister-in-law - Wanda Myers of Georgetown, Ohio; nieces and nephews - Carol Myers, Jim Myers and wife Freida, Bill Womacks and wife Margaret and Lynn Shafer and husband Dennis and many other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 24, 2007 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Rev. William Kirby will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. Friday, November 23, 2007. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery with military honors provided by the Carey Bavis Post #180. If desired, memorials may be made to the Ohio Veterans Home, 2003 Veterans Blvd., Georgetown, Ohio 45121; Crossroads Hospice, 4360 Glendale-Milford Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45242 or to the donor's choice.
