John C Rigg

John C. Rigg, age 84 of Ripley, Ohio, died Friday, April 11, 2014 at Clermont Mercy Hospital in Batavia, Ohio. He was a United States Air Force Korean War Veteran. Mr. Rigg was born June 5, 1929 in Carlisle, Kentucky the son of the late Ollie and Mattie (Barnes) Rigg. He was also preceded in death by two wives – Helen Rigg and Merry Katherine Rigg; two sons – Yohnnie and James; one brother – Emmitt Riggs.
Mr. Rigg is survived by one daughter – Cathy Baker of Ripley, Ohio; one son – Bobby Riggs and wife Christina of Medway, Ohio; one stepson – Ray Benjamin of Ripley, Ohio; four grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; three step grandchildren; several step great grandchildren; one sister – Alice Butts of Cincinnati, Ohio; one sister-in-law – Ruth Riggs of Cincinnati, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, a graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 17, 2014 in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. Clark Castle will officiate.
