John Crisp Stearns

John Crisp Stearns, age 72 of Aberdeen, Ohio, died Monday, August 20, 2012 at the Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown, Ohio. He was a United States Army Veteran, a union insulator, a member of the Moose Lodge in Marietta, Ohio, a member of the Eagles Lodge in Maysville, Kentucky, a member of American Legion Post #367 in Ripley, Ohio and a member of the VFW in Maysville, Kentucky. Mr. Stearns was born June 16, 1940 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of the late Franklin and Ellen (Crisp) Stearns. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Mary Lou Gabl.

Mr. Stearns is survived by his wife, Alyce Stearns; three children - Echo Boland, Erin Rodriquez and Dustin Stearns; two stepsons - Allen Jones of Aberdeen, Ohio and Greg (Tammy) Jones of Jackson, Ohio; two sisters - Susan Stearns of Canton, Ohio and Rosemary (Jim) Haas of Cincinnati, Ohio; one sister-in-law - Nicole Wright of Aberdeen, Ohio and her son Chuck Wright of Georgetown, Ohio; one brother-in-law - Tommy Emery; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Cahall Funeral Home of Ripley, Ohio is serving the family.
