Johnnie Edward Adams

Johnnie Edward Adams, age 64 of Ripley, Ohio, died Monday, March 22, 2010 at his residence. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves, worked at Mac Tool for seventeen years and was a member of Apostolic Faith Tabernacle in Maysville, Kentucky. Mr. Adams was born August 24, 1945 in Maysville, Kentucky, the son of Mildred (Carter) Adams of Aberdeen, Ohio and the late Elmer O. "Bud" Adams. He was also preceded in death by one brother, David Adams and his grandparents, Elmer and Pearl Adams.

In addition to his mother, Johnnie is survived by one daughter - Megan Adams of Ripley, Ohio; one son - James Adams of Ripley, Ohio; one grandson - Heath Adams; one sister - Iris Whitehead and husband T.J. of Dover, Kentucky; his ex-wife and friend - Deborah Smith of West Union, Ohio; father and mother-in-law - Leo and Linda Shelton of Ripley, Ohio; sister-in-law - Diana Garcia of Prescott Valley, Arizona; brother-in-law - William Shelton and wife Sueann of Winchester, Ohio; and mother-in-law - Louise Rhoads of West Union, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Elders William and Randy Osman will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the funeral service.
