Judy K. Rutherford

Judy Kay Rutherford, age 85 of Mt. Orab, Ohio passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at her residence with her family by her side. She was born January 16, 1940 in Poetown, Ohio the daughter of the late Dale and Kathryn (King) Bolender. Judy devoted many years of her life to her work at MRDD. She valued friendships with co-workers as well as the clients. Judy will be remembered for her compassionate spirit and commitment to helping and caring for others. She was a member of the Bible Chapel Church of Christ and had a heartfelt love to God and her family. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers – Alvin Bolender and Danny Dale Bolender and three sisters – Mary Parker, Linda Diehl and Betty Kirkpatrick.

Mrs. Rutherford is survived by her husband of sixty-five years – Ellis James Rutherford; four daughters – Kathy Russell and husband John of Niceville, Florida, Delrene Palazzolo and husband David of Bethel, Ohio, Bunny Drake and husband Steve of Georgetown, Ohio and Mary Caudill and husband Paul of Arizona; eight grandchildren – Chase Russell, Cory Scheider (Jessica), Nina Palazzolo, Natalie Palazzolo, Chelsea Gacek (Stevie), Cody Drake (Betsy), Shelby Caudill, and MiKayla Caudill; three great grandchildren – Knox Drake, Kade Gacek and Korbin Drake and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Friday, July 11, 2025 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Mt. Orab, Ohio. Rev. Bill Godby will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. – 11:30 A.M. Friday. Interment will be in the Mt. Orab Cemetery in Mt. Orab, Ohio.
