Julia Ann Claypoole, age 95 of Georgetown, Ohio passed away Thursday, January 1, 2026 at her daughter’s residence in Elsmere, Kentucky. She was born November 27, 1930 in Adams County, Ohio the daughter of the late Joseph and Lucy (Warren) Seipelt. Julia dedicated her career to the retail sector, with significant contributions at Kmart and Pamida before her retirement. Her commitment to her work was matched only by her devotion to her community. As a member of the Georgetown Baptist Church, Julia found joy and purpose in her faith. In addition to her professional and spiritual endeavors, she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Russellville Chapter #461. Julia embraced life with a variety of hobbies, including sewing, crocheting and square dancing, activities that brought her happiness and allowed her to create cherished memories with friends and family. Julia's legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew her, as her warmth and kindness touched many lives. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Robb Claypoole in 1998, one son-in-law – Ronald W. Stroop and one brother Robert Seipelt and wife Theresa.

Mrs. Claypoole is survived by one daughter – Glenda Stroop of Elsmere, Kentucky; five grandchildren – Melissa Loomis and husband Christopher of Erlanger, Kentucky, Matthew Stroop and wife Cassandra of Mt.Orab, Ohio, Ronald Lee Stroop and wife Jessica of Williamsburg, Ohio, Rebel Stroop of Elsmere, Kentucky and Journee Luann Stroop of Elsmere, Kentucky; two great grandchildren – Audrey and Charlie Loomis; one brother – Charles R. Seipelt and wife Mary of Amelia, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Internment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio.
