Karen Spurlock

Karen Craig Spurlock, age 70 of Sardinia, Ohio passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Clermont Mercy Hospital in Batavia, Ohio. She was born October 29, 1954 in Winchester, Kentucky the daughter of the late Ernest and Juanita (Elkin) Stone. Karen was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Her life was filled with joy and laughter, particularly during family picnics. Karen was an avid crocheter and devoted fan of UK Basketball. She enjoyed watching old movies and television shows, particularly "Heartland." Karen had a deep affection for animals, especially her beloved dog, Peanut. Traveling brought great joy to Karen, with her adventures to the Great Smoky Mountains holding a special place in her heart. Besides her father in 2006 and mother in 2025, she was preceded in death by one brother – Darrell Stone in 2025 and one sister – Deborah Martin in 2015.

Ms. Spurlock is survived by one son – Matthew Spurlock of Mt. Orab, Ohio; one sister – Vickie Wright and husband Danny of Batavia, Ohio and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Mt. Orab, Ohio. Jonathan Lawler will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Mt.Orab Cemetery in Mt.Orab, Ohio.
