Kaye Nichols

Katherine C. (Kaye) Nichols, age 73 of Ripley, Ohio, died Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Anderson Mercy Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.  She was a retired LPN, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Ripley Lions Club.  Mrs. Nichols was born October 27, 1941 in Ripley, Ohio the daughter of the late Carl Andrew and Marcella Louise (Cox) Griffith.  She was also preceded in death by her husband Walter Carl “Red Bird” Nichols and one brother – Robert Griffith.

Mrs. Nichols is survived by one daughter – Bethany Brown of Russellville, Ohio; one son – Walter Carl Nichols II of Ross, Ohio; five grandchildren – Keegan Nichols, Jessica Korb, Noah Nichols, Jared Nichols and Xana Brown; one brother – James Griffith of Linn Missouri; four sisters – Carolyn Breissler of Huntington, West Virginia, Nancy Strickland of Garner, North Carolina, Marion Donley of Ripley, Ohio and Rachel Stauder of Ripley, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, October 19, 2015 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio.  Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Monday.  Interment will follow the funeral service in Decatur Cemetery in Decatur, Ohio.
