Kenneth James Fulton

Mr. Kenneth James Fulton, age 60 of Aberdeen, Ohio, died Thursday, July 5, 2007 at Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville, KY.. He was born on May 13, 1947 in Maysville, KY. the son of the late James and Lucille Games Fulton. He was a lifelong member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church near Aberdeen, Ohio.

Mr. Fulton graduated from Ripley High School in 1965 and received a B.S. in Geology in 1969 from Ohio University where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He then earned M.S. and PhD degrees in Geology from the University of Cincinnati. He served his country as a member of the Ohio National Guard from 1970 through 1975. In 1975, he began a 21 year career with Exxon Co., U.S.A. as a petroleum geologist in New Orleans, LA., Midland, TX. and finally Houston, TX.. Mr. Fulton also worked as a consulting geologist for Amerada Hess and Devon Energy in Houston. In 2002, he retired to Valley View, his family's farm, north of Aberdeen, where he spent many hours on his Ford tractor keeping the farm neat.

Mr. Fulton is survived by his wife of thirty years, Linda Provo Fulton; one uncle, Walter W. Games of Aberdeen, Ohio; his mother and father in law, Jacob and Marjorie Provo of Lyons, N.Y.; one sister in law, Mary P. George of Ithaca, N.Y.; one brother in law, Richard Provo of Lyons, N.Y., as well as many loving cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Monday, July 9, 2007 at The First Presbyterian Church in Ripley, Ohio. Revs. James Rawlings and Ken Harmon will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. Sunday, July 8 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Interment will be in The Ebenezer Church Cemetery near Aberdeen, Ohio.
