Laura E. Cantrell

Laura Edith Cantrell, age 85 of Dayton, Ohio died Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at the Ohio Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center near Ripley, Ohio. She was a homemaker. Laura was born May 2, 1924 in Flemingsburg, Kentucky the daughter of the late Clarence and Maggie (Glasscock) West. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband - Bruce Cantrell, one brother - Clarence "Buck" West and four sisters - Myrtle Pfeffer, Elizabeth Berry, Ida Haitz and Mary Frodge.

Mrs. Cantrell is survived by two children - Bruce Cantrell of Huber Heights, Ohio and Carol Cantrell of Dayton, Ohio; three grandchildren - Tammy Cantrell, Jim Cantrell and Michael Harris; two great grandchildren and one sister - Frances Adams of Ripley, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 22, 2010 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. Clark Castle will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Hope, 215 Hughes Blvd., Mt.Orab, Ohio 45154.
