Lee Robert Eubanks, age 81 of Peebles, Ohio, formerly of Ripley, Ohio died Saturday, December 29, 2007 at the Veterans Hospital in Chillicothe, Ohio. He worked at Proctor and Gamble for eighteen years, was the owner of the Ripley Parkview Markets (aka the "Locker" ) in Ripley, Ohio for fifteen years, was a general contractor, a WW II U.S. Marine Veteran and a member of the Aberdeen Baptist Church. Mr. Eubanks was born on July 21, 1926 in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky the son of the late Lee Robert Eubanks and Ruth (Johnson) Eubanks Weber. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters - Dorothy Hayden and June Long.
Mr. Eubanks is survived by his wife of 33 years - Nancy (Hoop) Eubanks of Peebles, Ohio; nine children - Lee Robert Eubanks, Jr. (Bob) and wife Kathy of Felicity, Ohio; Carolyn Sue Schoenling and husband Dick of Atlanta, Georgia; Barbara Jane Morris-Miller and husband Fred of Peoria, Illinois; Melanie Locke and husband Mark of Capetown, South Africa; Larry Eubanks and wife Vickie of Georgetown, Ohio; Orville Eubanks of Felicity, Ohio; Tom Eubanks and wife Christy of Bethel, Ohio; Loretta Eubanks of Georgetown, Ohio and Julie Payne and husband Darin of Ripley, Ohio; three step-daughters - Sharon Arledge and husband Roger of Fort Myers, Florida; Rebecca Stephens and husband Vone, of Peebles, Ohio and Lesa Dixon and husband David of Piketon, Ohio; one sister - Edith Barthel of Cadillac, Michigan; four step-brothers - Ralph Weber of Bethel, Ohio; Charles Weber of Wisconsin, Frank Weber and Bob Weber both of Felicity, Ohio; two step-sisters - Ruth Dance of Fincastle, Ohio and Joyce Barber of Georgetown, Ohio; twenty-eight grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday January 4, 2008 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Andrew Morris will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Red Oak Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio with veterans services.
