Levi Junior Eldridge

Levi Junior Eldridge, age 89 of Mt. Orab, Ohio died Sunday, October 1, 2017 at the Villa Georgetown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Georgetown, Ohio. He was a life long dairy farmer, a Sunday school teacher for over 60 years and member of the Living Church of Five Mile near Mt. Orab, Ohio, a member of the Brown County Soil and Water Conservation Board for 4 years, the Brown County School Board and Southern Hills JVS School Board for 25 years and was the President of both boards for 24 years, and a 1946 graduate of Milford High School. Levi was born September 27, 1928 in Sharkey, Kentucky the 4th son and the 7th of 8 children of the late Preston and Emma (Caudill) Eldridge. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years – Edith (Dawes) Eldridge in 2011 whom he met on a blind date in 1948 and married on February 17, 1950; one son – Danial Eldridge; one grandchild – Justin Hinkle; four brothers – Woodrow, Arnold, Farley and Bobby Eldridge and two sisters – Geneva Watkins and Violet Smith.

Mr. Eldridge is survived by one daughter – Rita Hinkle and husband Bob of Mt. Orab, Ohio; three sons – David Eldridge and wife Debbie of Mt. Orab, Ohio, Joe Eldridge and wife Becky of Lynchburg, Ohio and Jeffrey Eldridge and wife Christie of Mt. Orab, Ohio; nine grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; one sister – Elsie Shiveley of Batavia, Ohio and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 6, 2017 at the Living Church of Five Mile, 16908 US Highway 68, Mt. Orab, Ohio  45154. Don White will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. Thursday at church. Interment will be in the Five Mile Cemetery near Mt. Orab, Ohio. The Cahall Funeral Home in Mt. Orab, Ohio is serving the family.
