Lewis Clark Cavendish, age 88 of Georgetown, Ohio died Friday, November 7, 2008 at his residence. He was a retired U.S. Army veteran, serving twenty-eight years in the military during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Ripley Assembly of God Church, the Carey Bavis American Legion Post #180, the Masonic Lodge, a long time school bus driver and bus supervisor for the Georgetown Exempted Village School District and served as the truant officer for the Brown County School System. Mr. Cavendish was born on February 15, 1920 in Cleves, Ohio, the son of the late Lewis B. and Emma Isabelle (Clark) Cavendish. He was also preceded in death by two brothers - Roy and Vernon Cavendish and one son-in-law - Dan Staggs.
