Linda Mae Orlowsky, age 56 of Ripley, Ohio died Friday, February 1, 2008 at her residence. She was a 1969 graduate of Ripley-Union-Lewis High School and during her high school years she worked at the soda fountain in Bristow's Drug Store and was selected as a member of the All Ohio Youth Choir that toured Europe. She attended Maysville Community College and graduated from Morehead State University with a Bachelor of Music Education Degree. She would later receive her Masters Degree from Miami University. Linda taught music in the Eastern Brown Local School District, the Withamsville Elementary School and the Glen Este Middle School. Over the years Linda would share her musical gifts, not only in the instruction of school children, but also in her church, the Ripley First Presbyterian Church. She was also the choir director for the River Village Christmas and was a member of the May Festival Chorus in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born on August 28, 1951 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of the late Coburn C. and Stella (Ham) Case.

Mrs. Orlowsky is survived by her husband of thirty-three years - Walter Orlowsky. They met in Morehead, Kentucky and were married on August 3, 1974. They resided in Mt. Orab, Ohio for many years before renovating and moving into her family home in Ripley, Ohio. She is also survived by one brother - Rev. Eugene C. Case and wife Rachel of Woodville, Mississippi; two sisters-in-law - Petra Barrett and husband Will of Libertyville, Illinois and Katharina Stair and husband Colin of Hudson, New York; three nieces - Holly Stair and Laura Beth and Emilie Case; six nephews - A.J. Stair, Kevin and Brian Barrett and Thomas, Preston and Robert Case; one aunt - Hazel B. Sims of Carlisle, Kentucky and her mother-in-law - Gertrud Orlowsky of Gardiner, New York.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 4, 2008 at the First Presbyterian Church in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. Eugene C. Case and Rev. James Rawlings will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:30 - 8:00 P.M. Sunday, February 3, 2008 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Interment will be in the Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio. If desired, memorials may be made to the Organ Maintenance Fund of the First Presbyterian Church, 114 Mulberry Street, Ripley, Ohio 45167 or to Hospice of Hope, 215 Hughes Boulevard, Mt. Orab, Ohio 45154
