Lorena B. Winkle

Lorena B. Winkle, age 89 of Sardinia, Ohio died Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the Heartland of Hillsboro in Hillsboro, Ohio. She was a farmer and a member of the Sardinia Church of the Nazarene. Lorena was born March 18, 1927 in Lawrence County, Ohio the daughter of the late Samuel B. and Mabel A. Carrington. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband – Gerald Winkle; one son – Charles Edward Winkle, one great granddaughter - Colleen Winkle, one sister – Elsie Mae Carrington and five brothers – Jesse, Walter, Charles, Herman and Andrew Jackson Carrington.

Mrs. Winkle is survived by one daughter – Linda Jo Vollborn and husband Fred of Bidwell, Ohio; one son -  Jeffrey Lynn Winkle and wife Suzanne of Cedarville, Ohio; one daughter-in-law – LuAnn Winkle of Wilmington, Ohio; eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Mt. Orab, Ohio. Pat Caraway will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the funeral home.  Interment will be in the Sardinia Cemetery in Sardinia, Ohio.
