Louise Marie Grant

Louise Marie Grant, age 85 of Ripley, Ohio died Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at the Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown, Ohio. Mrs. Grant was a retied cook for the Ripley school system in the old elementary school and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ripley, Ohio. She was born on June 10, 1919 in Ripley, Ohio the daughter of the late Clarence A. and Hattie I. (Prosser) Payne. She was also preceded in death by her husband of sixty-five years, Robert Louis Grant; two daughters, Patricia Elizabeth Crews and Lawanda Sue Grant; one son, Clarence (Chief) Grant; one sister, Mildred Taylor and one brother, Clarence A. Payne,Jr..

Mrs. Grant is survived by three daughters - Roberta Platt and Betty Steward both of Ripley, Ohio and Sandra Grant of Dayton, Ohio; two sons - Ray Grant of Cleveland, Tennessee and Michael Grant of Dayton, Ohio; eleven grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 14, 2004 at the First Baptist Church, 32 N. Third Street, Ripley, Ohio. Rev. Willie Howard will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the church. Interment will be in the Red Oak Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio. If desired, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 32 N. Third Street, Ripley, Ohio 45167 or to the American Cancer Society. Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio is serving the family.
