Margie Vaughn

Martha W. "Margie" Vaughn, age 79 of Higginsport, Ohio, died Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Ohio Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center near Ripley, Ohio. She was retired from the former Georgetown Nursing Home, where she worked as a head cook and dietician. Margie was born October 24, 1931 in Hamersville, Ohio the daughter of the late Charles and Viola (Darlington) Coleman. She was also preceded in death by her husband in 2008, Jimmy Vaughn; five sisters - Leola Clines, Judy Davis, Delores McCarty, Garnet Snider and Sue Hinton; two brothers - Charles Coleman and her infant twin brother Wesley Coleman.

Margie is survived by one daughter - Debbie Hines of Aberdeen, Ohio; one son, Chuck Lunsford of Aberdeen, Ohio; two stepsons, Joe Vaughn of Ripley, Ohio and Jimmy Hardy of Blanchester, Ohio; one stepdaughter, Missy Day of Russellville, Ohio; four grandchildren; five step grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and one step great grandchild; six sisters - Norma Carpenter of Felicity, Ohio, Shirley Estep of Felicity, Ohio, Edna McKenzie of Ripley, Ohio, Geraldine Cossens of Batavia, Ohio, Donnie Lewis of Hillsboro, Kentucky and Bonnie Humphries of Hillsboro, Kentucky; one brother - Gilbert Coleman of Ripley, Ohio; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Visitation will be from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday.
