Marion Paul Gould

Marion Paul Gould, age 78 of Hamersville, Ohio passed away Thursday, August 21, 2025 at the Anderson Mercy Hospital in Anderson Township, Ohio with his wife and daughter at his bedside. He was born August 26, 1946 in Aberdeen, Ohio the son of the late Howard Lee and Freda Mae (Vollmer) Gould. Paul dedicated over 50 years of his life to his profession as a barber in Bethel, Ohio at the Mug and Brush Barber Shop and the Bethel Barber Shop. His skill and dedication to his craft left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of being in his chair. Beyond his work, Paul had a deep passion for golf and fishing. He was also an enthusiastic supporter of the Cincinnati Reds, proudly following the team throughout the years. At the heart of Paul’s life was his family. He was a devoted family man, whose love for his children and grandchildren knew no bounds. Paul cherished the time spent attending his grandchildren’s school functions, sporting events and horse shows, where his presence was always felt with warmth and encouragement. His contributions to his community and the joy he brought to those around him will be fondly remembered. He leaves behind a legacy of love, passion and dedication that will continue to inspire those who knew him.

Mr. Gould is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years – Beverly (Knox) Gould whom he married on August 10, 1991; three children – Jennifer Brossenne and husband James of Williamsburg, Ohio, Larry Calvert and wife Amanda of Fayetteville, Ohio and Lori Greene of Blue Creek, Ohio; best papaw to eight grandchildren - Jami Brossenne and fiancé Branden Miller, Austin Brossenne, Addison Brossenne, Emily Lipps and husband Austin, Chase Calvert, Alex Greene, Shaelor Greene and Brady Greene: two sisters - Donna Hamblen and husband Bob of Hamersville, Ohio and Anna Lee Jones and husband Gene of Georgetown, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 6, 2025 at the Mt. Nebo Global Methodist Church, 11693 State Route 774, Bethel, Ohio 45106. Mark Vincent will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the church. The Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family.
